E.ON and Tesco give money off energy bills - 06/05/2011

Customers who receive their cheap gas from E.ON will soon be able to use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay off part of their energy bills.

The energy supplier has teamed up with the supermarket group in order to reward loyal customers with money off their utilities.

As part of the process, 50 per cent is added to the face value of Clubcard vouchers used - so a £10 voucher will give consumers £15 off their energy bill.

Graham Bartlett, managing director of Energy Solutions at E.ON, commented: "We're keen to help our customers get their bills 'energy fit' - and are extremely proud that we're the only energy supplier to allow customers to earn Tesco Clubcard points on their bills and also use Clubcard vouchers as a new way to pay.

"This new scheme we're piloting offers our customers a unique and convenient way to help offset some of their household energy costs," he added.
