How does the phone switching process work?
How do I switch home phone suppliers?
If you’ve used our home phone price comparison service and found a supplier that saves you money, then switching to them is easy and only takes a few minutes.
You can make an application to switch online through our website. We’ll ask some simple questions that your new provider will need to know, including your name, address and the telephone number you want to transfer over. And that’s all there is to it! We’ll send this information securely to your new provider, and confirm everything to you in an email. You won’t need to do anything more.
Your new supplier will write to you and confirm the date of your switch, which usually occurs in less than 10 working days. On the date of transfer, they’ll work with your old provider to make sure the switchover is seamless.
You don’t need to get involved – your provider will take care of everything. They won’t disconnect your phone, or send out an engineer. Your number won’t change either. After the switch, you just make calls as normal, but save in the knowledge that you’ll be charged less.
